New Tasktop Integration Hub release includes new codeBeamer connector and provides deeper ‘integration sophistication’

The new release (17.4) for Tasktop Integration Hub – out today – includes a new connector with Intland’s codeBeamer ALM, and provides our customers with enhanced control of increasingly complex integration scenarios.

codeBeamer ALM

Tasktop now integrates codeBeamer ALM with all other leading best-of-breed tools for planning, building and delivering software, including leading DevOps systems.

CodeBeamer is an Application Lifecycle Management tool that enables teams to manage their software development, requirements, testing and quality, risk management, variants management and more. Focusing on supporting industry-specific solutions for the automotive, medical, and avionics industries, the tool implements preconfigured templates to support users in complying to various safety-critical standards, boosting security and ‘auditability’.

Many customers benefit from integrating codeBeamer ALM with an external Requirements Management tool or with an ITSM tool to track defects. By flowing requirements from a Requirements Management tool, such as Jama or DOORS Next Generation, or defects to an ITSM tool, such as ServiceNow, users can flow information directly to external suppliers or to separate teams who are utilizing codeBeamer ALM for development.

By integrating parent- and child-requirements or defects between both tools, users can easily see status, comments, and other metadata to enhance continuous communication between teams and to facilitate smooth and efficient collaboration.

You can see how Tasktop automates the creation of requirements between codeBeamer ALM and Micro Focus ALM and facilitates real-time collaboration and traceability below:

Key features and enhancements

The latest release makes it easier for you to fine-tune your integrations and see what’s flowing and why. Two key new features include:

Enhanced Artifact Filtering

One crucial element of configuring an integration is determining exactly which pieces of information are able to flow from one tool to the other. Our ‘Artifact Filtering’ page now gives you more customizable control over which pieces of information flow in your integration. You can fine-tune your filters to apply to one (or many) collections, or even to certain projects (or other containers) participating in your integration. You can also decide whether to apply your filter to artifact updates, or just to artifact creation. This level of fine-grained control ensures that you can set up the exact integration scenario you need, all within just one integration.

Artifact Change Details

See exactly what’s been updated in your repositories down to the field level. This enhanced view into each activity makes troubleshooting your integrations a breeze.
